Senioritis 04/25/2011
This is Kaitlyn (aka KK) and she has some serious, self-admitted, senioritis. She is Lovejoy High School-class of 2011. I have known her for a few years and photographed her many times. KK has incredible eyes, perfect skin, to die for/only on commercials hair and one of those 1000 watt smiles. This girl makes our job very very easy. We had two individual sessions with her for her senior photos and both times the girl brought it! The session was bittersweet because not only is Kaitlyn moving on to become a part of the Raider Nation at Texas Tech, but the whole family is moving. I am sad to see them go, not only because they are great clients, but also friends. KK's mom was Rocco's teacher at preschool and so we share some fond memories. I have photographed their family, their son's engagement, their newborn grandson, their 800 lbs of dogs, KK's prom, etc... It has been great to work with y'all. We wish KK and the whole family the best of luck in this new chapter. 1 Comment Sarah- The Finale. 05/14/2010
So Nate we captured in about an hour...Sarah, um....Sarah had 3 sessions and I have a feeling we're still not done. It's not her fault, we have enjoyed working with her so we have lots and lots of ideas using her as our model. She's also beautiful, fun and so easy to shoot. Here are the last few faves-for now. I heard a sweet story about these two seniors. Sarah is a cheerleader for Lovejoy High School and as I mentioned Nate is a football captain. After each win (and there were MANY), as Nate would run back to the sideline he would grab Sarah to celebrate. I could tell from the short time I saw them together it is a special friendship. Congratulations to you also Sarah. I have a feeling there are great things to come for you! It's a Small World After All 05/14/2010
Ok, here's one for the books. The favorite client mentioned previously in this blog is my son's old pre-school teacher. She referred two amazing seniors to me for their portraits. Come to find out that one of the seniors is the son of someone I used to work for back in the day. Crazy! Well anywho, I met his son Nate (the senior) and the rest of his sweet family this week. We had a really good time during the shoot even though it was like 90 degrees and poor Nate was wearing his varsity jacket. He is a football captain at Lovejoy Highschool, but also banks the grades. Here's what I will say about Nate-I wouldn't want to be on the other side of the hash mark from this guy. I think he means bidness. He has a very charming smile that I am sure he flashes at his opponents right before the hit. At least they see kindness right before stars. Southern hospitality and all.... Good luck Nate and the rest of the family as you start this next, very exciting, season in your lives. Sarah Smile....Our First Senior!!! 03/28/2010
I think I just dated myself, but I can't help it.... I loves me some Hall and Oates. Yesterday we had our Spring mini-sessions and our first Senior Portraits. The location was Tucker hill and if you haven't gone out there, you should. There are some AMAZING homes out there. The fountain teased us all day, it is just the perfect backdrop, but the wind was NOT cooperating at all. We are incredibly thankful for the Tucker Hill folks for letting us find shelter in there model. | AuthorsSteph and Nancy. Two favorite, fun-lovin' picture takin' mamas.
