In case you haven't been to a wedding lately, the landscape has completely changed. With the advent of Martha Stewart hitting the scene 20 ish years ago, weddings have gone from cake and punch to a fortnight of events and just about anything goes. As mentioned in the previous post, I do research blogs and I have come across another one via a bride that just booked us for her December nuptuals. GreenWeddingShoes This is a great resource for inspiration and vendors and plain ole dilly dally time looking at beautiful stuff. I think I am going to have to incorporate a blogroll here.
Last Friday we turned a new page and shot our first wedding. It was perfect for us because it was a very intimate event with a super-sweet couple. It did rain, but that didn't hamper anyone's spirits. The bride, Lili, had handmade a perfect wedding/ceremony. Everything about it was beautiful. She incorporated so many special things from each family and then pulled it all together to create an environment that was whimsical, sweet and amazing for the guests. There were so many details...the dress from her parent's wedding, the stunning petit fours that her Mother hand-delivered from Brazil, the cake topper from Kenneth's parent's wedding, 50 years ago to the day, etc.... It's a very sweet story and in the end, the girl got her man and they are living happily ever after on an extended honeymoon on a beautiful beach. To Lili and Kenneth- Thank you so much. We felt like we were part of the family. Um beijao enorme ao voces. Boa Sorte!! |
